Actor-filmmaker SJ Suryah is back in action—literally. The much-anticipated first look posters of his new film Killer were unveiled today, and they’ve already set the internet abuzz. Produced by Gokulam Gopalan under Sree Gokulam Movies, and powered by music maestro A.R. Rahman, the film promises a pulsating mix of action, romance, and intrigue.
Directed under the banner of Angel Studios Movie Hub LLP, Killer co-stars Preethi Asrani and appears to feature SJ Suryah in a double-shaded role—both as a suave assassin and a charismatic romantic lead.
In the first poster, Suryah is seen striking a bold pose, carrying Preethi Asrani in one arm, with a gun in the other. Drenched in red hues, set against a sleek luxury car and futuristic neon strips, the frame screams style, danger, and drama. The second poster ups the intensity: Suryah, clad in black with a cross around his neck and wielding a shotgun, looks every bit the grim enforcer on a deadly mission.
The taglines—“One for love. One on a mission.” and “Killer on Prowl”—hint at a dual-layered narrative that straddles both personal stakes and professional vengeance. With Rahman’s music expected to lend emotional and sonic depth, expectations are soaring high.
The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, clearly aiming at a pan-Indian reach. The shooting is currently in progress, and further announcements on the release date and teaser trailer are expected soon.
With SJ Suryah’s signature flair, Rahman’s magnetic soundscape, and a stylized aesthetic, Killer could well be one of the most intriguing action thrillers on the horizon.
