In a bold step toward uniting cultures through music, Cheers Music has launched its first-ever global production — Kimchi Dosa, an Indo-Korean music video album that celebrates the shared vibrancy of India and Korea. Released on the occasion of Vinayagar Chaturthi, the track has already caught the attention of fans across continents.
The music video stars popular Tamil actor Aari Arjunan, who is appearing in such a project for the very first time, alongside South Korea’s much-loved K-pop sensation Aoora, rising star Saanve Megghana, music director Dharan Kumar, and India’s celebrated Formula 1 racer Narain Karthikeyan.
Aoora, who rose to Indian fame through his participation in Bigg Boss 17 and is adored for his remixes of Bollywood classics, brings his trademark flamboyance to Kimchi Dosa. Speaking about the track, he said, “Food and music are two things that connect people beyond borders. With Kimchi Dosa, I wanted to show how Korea and India, though different, are beautifully similar when celebrated together. It’s a track to make you dance, smile, and feel connected.”
Behind the camera, the project boasts an enviable line-up of talent. The visuals are crafted by celebrated cinematographer Ravi Varman ASC ISC, known for his stunning work in Ponniyin Selvan, Barfi!, and Ram-Leela. Acclaimed production designer Muthuraj, editor Ruben, and dance choreographers from TDC further amplify the video’s spectacle.
Music for Kimchi Dosa is composed and performed by Dharan Kumar, a familiar name in Tamil cinema. The Indo-Korean collaboration symbolizes Cheers Music’s ambition to serve as a platform for fresh talents and cross-border cultural exchange. Speaking about the initiative, founder Abhilasha stated, “We launched this label to make the dreams of aspiring musicians come true. Our vision is not limited to Tamil or Indian music but aims to reach a global audience by merging diverse cultural sounds.”
The music video itself is a vibrant mix of colourful visuals, funky choreography, and quirky storytelling. With actors grooving alongside Aoora, champagne-splash celebrations, and race-track sequences, Kimchi Dosa encapsulates the spirit of a global party anthem.
Through this collaboration, Cheers Music has positioned itself as a new-age cultural bridge, one that seeks to blend local talent with international artistry. As the company expands into both television and independent music production, starting with this Indo-Korean experiment, Kimchi Dosa sets a powerful precedent for future global projects from India.
