In a grand spectacle that reminded many of the golden era of film events, the official launch of the upcoming Tamil feature ‘Texla’ was held at a prestigious star hotel in Chennai on March 6, 2026. Directed by the visionary Aishwarya Rajinikanth and produced by the prolific Kannan Ravi under the Kannan Ravi Group banner, the event served as a monumental kick-off for what is already being touted as one of the most anticipated projects of the year.
The film features an eclectic and talented cast led by Jai and the versatile National Award winner Suraj Venjaramoodu. Supporting them is a robust ensemble including Anand Raj, G.M. Producer Kannan Ravi, known for his massive footprint in the industry, spoke with uncharacteristic humility. Despite backing sixteen simultaneous projects, Ravi described himself as a “student” in the world of cinema.
“In business, I might speak with a certain level of pride, but in cinema, I am still in LKG,” Ravi remarked. “I feel blessed to collaborate with the family of Tamil Nadu’s Superstar. Aishwarya Rajinikanth is not just talented; her kindness and warmth are truly inspiring.”
He also expressed his long-standing desire to work with Suraj Venjaramoodu, noting that after missing out on eight previous opportunities, ‘Texla’ finally brought them together.
