With just days to go for its grand worldwide release, Mirai: Super Yodha is riding high on fan enthusiasm. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially cleared the Karthik Gattamneni-directed superhero fantasy with a U/A certificate, paving the way for its September 12 release in eight languages.
A Clean Film for Families
Announcing the news on X (formerly Twitter), lead actor Teja Sajja wrote:
“#MIRAI censored with U/A. CLEAN FILM for kids, families, and all sections of the audience to experience Action, Emotion & Devotion on the big screens. GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON 12th SEPTEMBER.”
The certification ensures that Mirai is a family-friendly entertainer while promising large-scale action, mythological inspiration, and emotional storytelling.
Star Power and Stellar Crew
Mirai features a star-studded ensemble. Manoj Manchu plays the antagonist, while Ritika Nayak appears as Vibha. Veteran actor Jagapathi Babu takes on the role of Angama Bali, protector of Tantra, and Shriya Saran and Jayaram play pivotal roles.
Behind the camera, director Karthik Gattamneni doubles as cinematographer, shaping the film’s visual grandeur. He is joined by writer Manibabu Karanam (story and dialogues), art director Sri Nagendra Tangala, and editor Sreekar Prasad. The music is composed by Gowra Hari.
Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under People Media Factory, the film has Dharma Productions and Karan Johar presenting it in North India, while Mythri Movie Distributors LLP handles the key Nizam region, ensuring a massive theatrical rollout.
Pre-Release Event Frenzy
If the CBFC nod brought relief, the pre-release event sent fans into delirium. Teja Sajja, brimming with gratitude, delivered an impassioned speech that resonated with thousands in attendance.
“This film is for every child, every fan—Mirai is our dream made real,” he said, earning thunderous applause.
In a moment that broke the internet, he revealed that the film includes two surprise cameo appearances, fueling endless speculation about who might be joining the superhero saga sending fans into raptures.
Extreme Challenges, Extreme Rewards
Teja recalled the team’s struggles filming in the Himalayas at temperatures as low as minus 18 degrees. “Even with boots and multiple layers, it felt like hundreds of needles pricking my feet with every step,” he admitted. “But we shot for three days because the story demanded it.”
Such anecdotes showcased the cast and crew’s dedication to delivering an authentic, larger-than-life cinematic experience.
Industry Praise and Rising Expectations
The trailer has already won praise from megastar Chiranjeevi and even superstar Rajinikanth, whom Sajja fondly called the “OG superhero.” Speaking of Johar’s association, Teja revealed: “Karan sir watched the film and said, ‘Teja, you need a bigger platform.’ He came forward to present the film in Hindi, and that support means the world to us.”
Following the blockbuster success of Hanu-Man, fans and trade experts alike are predicting Mirai to be a landmark entry in Indian superhero cinema, bolstered by its devotional undertones, spectacular VFX, and mass-appeal storytelling.

With advance bookings set to open soon and the hype at fever pitch, Mirai: Super Yodha is primed for one of the most spectacular pan-Indian openings of the year. For fans, September 12 isn’t just a release date—it’s the dawn of a new superhero legacy.
